The Nigerian Grammy-award winning Burna Boy has joined the list of the world’s most famous artists who have played the world’s most famous arena at the Madison Square Garden in New York.

On Thursday, April 28, Burna Boy made history as he became the first Nigerian artist to perform at the Madison Square Garden in New York, America.

With over 20k capacity, the Madison Square Graden is one of the biggest, and most famous, music arenas in the world.

The singer, who is known for being energetic on stage, proved himself worthy of his self-described nickname, ‘The African Giant, during the ‘One Night In Space’ show.

No other Nigerian musician had ever played in the arena whether as a headliner or as a guest performer before Odogwu.

The African Giant has joined a massive list of legendary singers who have performed at Madison Square Garden, the likes of Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson, John Lennon, Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, The Beatles Madonna, Elton John, Stevie Wonder, The Who, U2, Bruce Springsteen, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift and Luke Bryan.

His fans have been so excited about the concert that the hashtag #BurnaLiveAtMSG trended on Twitter for two days.
