Brighton defender, Marc Cucurella is on the verge of becoming a Chelsea player.
The Spaniard has successfully undergone his medical with the London club and is now set to sign paperworks.
Both clubs have been preparing the contracts through the night for it to be signed on Friday, according to Fabrizio Romano.
“Chelsea and Brighton have been preparing contracts in the night in order to get the Marc Cucurella deal signed on Friday. Medical was perfect and Thomas Tuchel is now waiting for him.
Fee confirmed as advanced earlier: £55m guaranteed plus £7m in add-ons to Brighton,” Romano tweeted.
Meanwhile, Martin Braithwaite has told Barcelona he will not leave until they pay up his contract.
The striker wants to be fully compensated for the final two years of his deal at the Nou Camp.
Braithwaite is under contract until 2024 with the club having signed him from Leganes in 2020.
Barcelona need to trim their wage bill to register new signings ahead of LaLiga’s August 13 deadline.
