Asake is steadily becoming one of the Industry’s favourites this year with the back to back hits he keeps releasing.
The singer started the year with “Omo Ope” which featured Olamide and dominated the airwaves.
Later, Olamide announced his signing into YBNL Label under which Asake released his self titled EP.
“Sungba” which is off the project became to rule the airwaves prompting the release of a remix which featured Burna Boy and was also a commercial success.
In an interview on a Twitter area entitled #AfricaToTheWorld, YBNL’s newest signee Asake claimed that social media was instrumental in his meeting Olamide and securing a deal with him.
When Asake was asked about the relevance of social media to him as an artist, he explained that it was through social media that he met Baddo, who had heard his song “Mr. Money”.
The singer went on to say that since signing with YBNL, his life has taken a turn for the better, and that he can no longer do what he used to do as an individual, but that he is loving every minute of it since it is exactly what he wished for.
